Oh yeah, I guess bc I have a crazy almost 15 month old, coaching high school cheerleading now that the seasons started back, and have 3 real estate closings in less than a month. I'm not complaining. Life is good.<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Just wanted to tell a few things that Mary Tyler is doing now.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- She started <strike>walking</strike> running at 14 months. She only crawls now if she falls and is trying to get to something really fast.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- She can identify all the different animals toys in the bathtub. She doesnt try to say their names yet but if you say "where is the lion?" she will show it to you and smile.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- She says Mama, Dada, Gigi, Aww, Bye, Hi (hide, and she only says it in a whisper voice) </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- She will hold the phone up to her ear when I say hello</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- If you say "Where's Mary Tyler??" She covers her eyes and plays peekaboo</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- She LOVES hide-n-seek. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- She makes a "monster face" on command.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- She yells "AH!" back and forth with you</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- Food she loves: oatmeal, mac n cheese, grilled cheese, beans from taco casa (her fave!), hummus, pita, apple juice, yogurt, teensy fruits (fruit snacks). She's not so much a meat lover. She'll eat bites of chicfila nuggets and she'll eat meat from taco casa if i mix it in with beans but shes not a meat lover. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- Schedule: Wake up 9:30, Nap 2-4, Bed 7:30/8:00</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
- She is SO independent. She will not let us help her with anything (hold her hand when she's walking, help her figure out a toy, etc) She has a temper. She loves to just study things real hard. She gets bored after about 2 minutes of seeing a new thing or toy. Oh, and in case you're wondering, I'm still describing Mary Tyler, not her Daddy :-) girl is JUST like her daddy! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
We love our little, Sweet!!!! (that's what I call her right now, Sweet) </div>
<div>
<br /></div>

<br />
You turned one year old 10 days ago. I truly CANNOT BELIEVE it. It seems like only yesterday you were a little bundle of blankets who hardly ever made a peep. Now you are a squealing, exploring, laughing, yelling, curious bundle of energy!!<br />
<br />
On your actual birthday, you woke up to dada and me singing happy birthday to you and you stood in your crib and laughed at us. We had a relaxing Saturday morning and then you went down for nap. When you woke up, Aunt Kelleigh brought you some presents and saw you for a little bit. Later, Grandy & Grams, Travdaddy & Gigi, Tyler & Janey, Lindsey, Erica, Zane, and baby Wilson came over. You had SO MUCH FUN with baby Wilson. He is just 2 1/2 months younger than you, but you are MUCH bigger than him. You wanted to "talk" (yell) at him, and scared him several times. You shared your toys and played and played. We ate some supper then opened your presents. When we put you in the kitchen to sing Happy Birthday, you looked all around like "wait....this is for me??" and as soon as you realized that, you lit up and started squealing and smiling so big. You're a sweet little attention hog :)<br />
<br />
Two days ago, we had your little birthday party. In attendance: Suzy & Yates Dover, Erin & Anderson Dumit, Carmen & Annie Knox Feemster, Ellis & Bo Crigler, Katie & Sawyer Aughtry, Cathleen Taylor, Meg Hellard, Megan Ayers, Jordan Griffith, Sarah Jones, Nana, Gigi, Aunt Ashley, Aunt Janey, Beth Neely, Lauren Miller. We played downstairs with all of your toys. You loved "showing them off." You yelled (squealed) at them "HEY! HEY! HEY!" and some of them cried. We all went outside to swing and play with bubbles and you had the time of your life. You got some really fun presents and once again hammed it up when everyone sang happy birthday to you. You slept like a rock afterwards.<br />
<br />
What's up with you:<br />
<br />
Sleeping: You go to bed between 7 and 730 and wake up around 930 very consistently. You take one nap from about 1:00-3:00. You sleep in a sleep sack and have to have your sound machine on ocean. You have about 6 loveys and three blankets in the crib with you, you love to snuggle them. You sleep on your tummy and when you wake up in the morning you sit up and play with your loveys and talk quietly to yourself.<br />
<br />
Eating: We are trying to wean you from your bottle/formula right now and switch to sippy/milk. You do NOT like milk. You SCREAM crying whenever I try to give it to you. You're so smart you can tell if its milk or water in your sippy just from looking at it. If its clear you chug the whole thing right away then act out of breath, if its white you start screaming and throw it across the room!<br />
<br />
Skills: You still crawl as fast as lightning everywhere. You stand up on your own, and even pick up toys and move them while standing, but dont want to take a step. You don't seem interested in walking yet, but that's ok with me. :) Whenever anyone (Dada) says "See you later!" you will say "bye bye" back. You can "dance" whenever bubble guppies comes on (or any song). You wave. You eat bigger bites of food now. You still wear size 4 diapers. You give kisses but they are always open mouth kisses.<br />
<br />
You have two bottom teeth and the top ones should come in any day now.<br />
<br />
You love books that have a "flap" you like to find them and look behind it.<br />
<br />
Your favorite shows are bubble guppies, tickety tock, max & ruby, mickey mouse clubhouse, and yo gabba gabba.<br />
<br />
You still love CHEESE (grilled cheese, mac n cheese, sliced american cheese, cheetos) and aren't so much unto meat.<br />
<br />
We've moved to a new house and you really like it. You have a great big playroom and a very pretty nursery.<br />
<br />
You LOVE bath time and will lay on your tummy and kick and splash all over the place and squeal with delight.<br />
<br />
You are the JOY of our lives and we love you so, very very much!!<br />
<br />
I will post pictures soon!!<br />
<br />
<br />

Will there ever be a month when I can say it hasn't been "crazy?" Ha. I'm just going to combine these. LOTS GOING ON! Between 7 Christmases, New Years, Selling our house, buying a new house, packing, MT starting MMO, and work, it has been...CRAZY.<br />
<br />
Food: You will eat anything and everything we give you. You even ate collard greens on new years day and you loved them. you LOVE: mini corndogs (cut up), mac n cheese, grilled cheese, fruit purees, annie's cheddar bunnies, yogurt, & green beans to name a few.<br />
<br />
Sleep: You are sleeping 14 hrs a night and a two hour nap. You go to bed between 7-8 and wake up between 9-10. Nap from about 1:30-3:30. You dont really let me rock you anymore. You just drink (or dont drink you bottle) and then turn your head and wiggle until I put you down. You like to fall asleep on your own. As soon as I lay you down, you turn to your tummy and ball up. You still have to have your sound machine on, pitch black dark, two blankets, 4 loveys, and a lot of pacis in there.<br />
<br />
I took you to the Dr on 12/20/12 to get flu booster shot and you weighed 22lbs 4oz.<br />
<br />
You got your first tooth on 12/11/12! (bottom left) and your second tooth just came in on 1/11/13, a month later! You are MUCH less fussy than you were last month. You have been so sweet. You will do "little indian girl" (wah wah wah wah), say and wave bye bye, SOMETIMES when i ask what the cow says you say "mmmmmm," you turn the pages of books and are paying attention when i read them to you (for the most part). You LOVE baths still. When I am getting ready in the morning you crawl to the bathtub, stand up, and start hitting it excitedly like you want to get in. You push your toys and walk behind them! The other day you stood up by yourself for about 5 seconds. You were holding onto the refrigerator door and when i closed it you stayed standing there until you realized you werent holding onto anything and sat down real quick :) . I think you'll be walking pretty soon! You FINALLY signed "more" yesterday when Daddy kept you. You did it once for me tonight but not as good as you did it for him last night.<br />
<br />
Here are some entries from your journal over the past two months:<br />
<br />
Dec 19- You are getting so close to clapping. you clap toys together but wont do just your hands. when we say "no no, my she" to annie, you wave like we do (pointing our finger).<br />
<br />
Dec 23- We had Christmas in Clemson today. Grandy Sr. and Mimi gave you a college fund and told us about it by giving us a graduation cap Grandy for you (complete w/ tiger paw stickers) for when you graduate from Clemson. I cried and cried. we are so blessed!<br />
<br />
Dec 26- We went to Taco Casa with Suzy and Yates. He kept giving you kisses and youd laugh. We went back to their new house and yall played and had fun.<br />
<br />
Dec 28- Today you said "nigh nigh" when I said its time to go night night! Sweet angel.<br />
<br />
Jan 3- We had a "home day." We played, watched Bubble Guppies, ate snacks, both took a two hour nap, went to bilo, and made supper. I love hanging out with my angel!<br />
<br />
Jan 7- Today was your first day at Mothers Morning Out at First Pres. The teacher said you were "pretty good" but fussed when the other babies cried, ha. you were SO sleepy when i picked you up!<br />
<br />
We love you TOOT!<br />
<br />

That just shows you how CRAZY life has been this past month! I am exhausted. Here's whats up:<br />
<br />
Food: You have so far eaten and loved: macaroni & cheese, grilled cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, rice, chicken casserole, spaghetti, yogurt, fruit purees, vienna sausages, toast, waffles, cheese puffs (the gerber kind), avocado, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, etc. You're still a great eater!<br />
<br />
Sleep: This month you went down to one nap a day (usually from 1:30-3:30). At first I was worried, but then Dr. Butcher told me thats totally normal considering how long you sleep at night (14 hrs) roughly 7 pm to 9:00 am. We got you some black out shades in your nursery bc you werent sleeping well at nap time with light in the room. You like to have a dark room, sound machine on full blast, fan on, two blankies in the crib with you. and 4 loveys that you snuggle with, and of course, pacis.<br />
<br />
You are now wearing size 4 diapers.<br />
<br />
at your 9 mo check up you weighed 20 lbs 15 oz (almost 21) and were 29.5 inches tall. Dr. B said you are "off the charts" in height. Very tall girl :)<br />
<br />
Last month I said you refused to fall asleep in my arms, but now when I rock you for nap or bedtime during your bottle you dont fight sleep as hard. I think that has a lot to do with TEETHING> dun dun dunnnnnn.<br />
<br />
You have been HARDCORE teething this entire month. You went to Dr. B on your 9 mo bday and she said you should get both bottom teeth by 10 months. You have swollen gums, drooling, runny nose, low grade fever, and IR-RI-TA-BLE!!!!!! Fussy fussy baby. Poor thing, I know you are in pain. It's so close now that yesterday, Matt thought it had come through but its just really white where it's about to break skin. You are also running your tongue over the top teeth a lot so I think those are close, too. I hope you get one soon and get some relief.<br />
<br />
Here are some entries from your diary this month:<br />
<br />
Nov 18 - Lauren came and took your Christmas pictures today... I cant wait for you to experience your first Christmas. You are the best gift mommy and daddy could ever receive!<br />
<br />
Nov 19 - You had your first ever nighttime screaming fit tonight. You woke up at 11 pm, MAD. I couldnt figure out what you wanted or what was wrong. Nothing would calm you down. I think you were having a bad dream and still half asleep!<br />
<br />
Nov 23- Yesterday was your first Thanksgiving. You loved it. You crawled everywhere and kept pulling up on the center ottoman & everyone would clap and yell "yayy!!" You loved the attention and would smile and laugh and do it again.<br />
<br />
Nov 28 - We went shopping for presents and decorations today. You loved the toy aisle at Target. You finally figured out how to eat, hold, squeeze, and suck "Fruities" puree packs.<br />
<br />
Nov 30 - Still fussy. You cried all the way home from easley w/ Grandy and Grams today. Sleepy and grumpy. So am I, haha!<br />
<br />
Dec 3 - you are still being a little grump. I think it's your teeth but I also think it's because you want to walk, so bad. You want to be put down so you can GO! Do not like to be held.<br />
<br />
Dec 6 - you had so much fun w Mommy at breakfast this morning, learning the difference between quiet whispers and loud yells. you think its hilarious to yell loud!<br />

She was in the bath tub tonight and Matt was like "I just can't believe we're standing here and she's 8 months old. How did that happen??"<br />
<br />
I want to keep this short and sweet, but also want to document things that've changed in the last month. I really am having to force myself to blog lately, which I hate, but life is just moving TOO fast to keep up, and honestly, blogging is at the bottom of my priority list. Well, maybe 2nd to bottom, bc there's a stack of laundry up to my eyeballs at the foot of my bed right now. Oh well.<br />
<br />
I blog so Mary Tyler can go back and look one day at what all she was doing, but also so that when the next baby comes along, I can refer to this and see what his/her sister was doing at these milestones.<br />
<br />
SO here goes 8 months...<br />
<br />
She is now supposed to be eating only table food. It's been a bit of a challenge. #1 because I'm a freak and dont know what/how much to feed her. #2 bc she LOVES baby food. #3 because she wants puffs as her only meal, every meal. Girl would eat an entire container of puffs at one sitting if we let her!!! So far she's had .... green beans, carrots, oranges, beans, cheese, vienna sausages (the Gerber chicken kind), yogurt, and soup. She LOVES oatmeal. Everything else, I can't tell. She was obsessed with oranges the first two times she ate them, but the last two times I've given her to them she makes a god awful face and wants nothing to do with them. Haha.<br />
<br />
Her schedule now:<br />
9:30 - wake up<br />
9:45 - breakfast; oatmeal and 6 oz bottle<br />
11:00 - nap... but if she wont take it here, she takes it after lunch<br />
12:30 - lunch - usually yogurt & fruit then a 4 oz bottle, haha<br />
1:00 - nap if she didnt take it at 11<br />
2-4 snacks/errands/cartoons/crawling/going outside/etc<br />
4:30/5 - cat nap<br />
7:00 - dinner - whatever she decides she likes on any given day<br />
7:30 - bath<br />
8:00 bedtime and a 6 oz bottle<br />
<br />
She has just recently started to like to put herself to sleep. I used to feed her a bottle and rock her til she fell asleep, which I wasn't supposed to be doing anyway (spoiling her). Recently, she started trying to roll over on me the second she finished her bottle, so I just started putting her right in the crib and she rolls over and falls asleep on her own. Good girl!! Mary Tyler is (THANKFULLY) a sleeper. Just like her mama. Last Saturday, I had to go to a cheerleading competition at 8am. I called Matt at 10, 10:15, 10:45, 11:00 ... i was starting to get worried bc he wasnt answering. He calls me back at 11:15 and goes "Sorry!! just woke up... my monkey is still asleep, im about to go wake her up." Dear Jesus, thank you SO much for blessing us with a baby who sleeps til 11:15 on a Saturday!!!!" Can I get an amen?! We are seriously the luckiest parents, ever!<br />
<br />
She is a DIVA when it comes to naps, though. She REFUSES to fall asleep in our lap/arms. And she wont fall asleep in the stroller bc she thinks she'll miss something. the ONLY way she'll go to sleep for naps is if she's in her carseat or if i lay down beside her. She will hold my hand and fall asleep, but she has to have her paci!<br />
<br />
She is crawling, but not fast yet. She takes a few "steps" then splats and army crawls, which she is really fast at now. Any day now she is going to take off. I've got to keep the floors cleaner and start baby proofing!<br />
<br />
She says Mama ALL THE TIME. It's really all she says. And now she's gotten to where she'll say it back to you when you say it. So we try other words...so far she can say "bye bye" "Nana" "Goooood" "Ma ma" and "Da da" but she wont say Dada very often. She always says it when Matt's not around, he never hears it, haha. She also tries to copy us when we say "duck" but she hasn't quite gotten it yet.<br />
<br />
She waves all the time now! She loves it. And she loves to pull the chain on the fan that turns the light on and off.<br />
<br />
Here are a few entries from my "one line a day" journal I write in every night:<br />
<br />
10/3 - You had a huge "learning leap" today! You made a lot of new consonant sounds, played in the floor by yourself, tried to crawl, and pulled up twice! You are so sweet and smart.<br />
<br />
10/10 - You're getting closer and closer to crawling. You love to scream (happy screams).You're ready to quit baby food, always reaching for our food. You are mad you can't walk yet.<br />
<br />
10/13- (written by my mom) Grams dropped you off w/ GiGi and Travdaddy at 12pm. We took you to Fall for Greenville. You loved the music and all the people! Stayed from 2:30-5:00. Dinnertime, bathtime, and bedtime were easy! You are SO good! Videoed you "crawling" to get puffs. You are so sweet!<br />
<br />
10/20- (written by matt) You hung out with your dad today! You both slept until 11:15 and Mommy had to be up at 8 am, haha. You were so good all day, but still won't say "da da" Only "ma ma ma ma ma" all day long! :)<br />
<br />
<br />
we love you so much, monkey!!!!!!!<br />

Where has the time gone?! She is so much fun. It's very apparent that she knows her PARENTS now, haha. im funny. But really, she knows Matt and I so well and even reaches for us to hold her now :) Sweet little Monkey! She has a little bit of stranger anxiety but it hasn't become an issue yet. It's really off and on... sometimes I'll think she's definitely going to cry in a certain scenario and she just smiles and smiles and other times it's someone she's fairly familiar with and she will poke her little lip out and cry for a minute.<br />
<br />
At her 6 mo appointment she was right on the verge of 18 lbs... now I'm sure she's around 20. She's definitely a little chunk. We took her to her first Clemson game last week. She was sleeping on a couch in the box and someone walked up and said "Aww, how old is she? About a year old?" I said "No, 7 months" and they said "Oh my gracious! That's the longest/tallest 7 month old I've ever seen!!" Haha She definitely looks really long when she's laying down. She is BARELY fitting in 6 month onesies... those snaps are SNUG. She can't fit in 6 mo sleepers anymore, her toes almost bust through the seams. So, she's basically wearing all 9 month clothing. Still in size 3 diapers. We recently switched from Pampers to Huggies bc I had a great coupon from Costco. We were kind of hesitant bc we tried huggies when she was really tiny and we did NOT like them. As for now, we love the Huggies!! It wicks away the moisture so much better than the Pampers did and it doesnt fill so heavy and huge when it's full.<br />
<br />
Her schedule looks a little like this:<br />
<br />
9:00 - Wake Up, Baby food w/ oatmeal, 6 oz bottle<br />
10:15 - Nap<br />
11:30/12 - Lunch - fruit and 6 oz bottle<br />
2:00 - Nap<br />
3:30 - 6 oz bottle<br />
5:00 - Catnap<br />
7:00 - Dinner - meat and veggie<br />
8:30 - Bedtime, 6 oz bottle<br />
<br />
She also has snacks through out the day. We recently introduced her to Puffs and she LOVES them. So far she's had Strawberry-Apple, Apple Cinnamon, and Blueberry. she loves them all, haha. She also eats yogurt bites and cookies and loves to drink cold water out of her sippy cup.<br />
<br />
Recently:<br />
-she's started playing in the floor with toys since she can sit up on her own now. She likes anything that lights up/makes music.<br />
<br />
-She loves to try to steal the remote from matt and me.<br />
<br />
-She still LOVES her bath, mickey mouse clubhouse, and the dogs.<br />
<br />
- She thinks Peek-a-boo is hilarious<br />
<br />
- We play Patty Cake and sing The Wheels on the Bus. She loves both of those.<br />
<br />
So far, she can say "mama" "dada" and "good." "Good" was actually her first word. She would say "guuuuh guuuuuh ooood ooooood" and now she says "guuuuu-oood" very drawn out. Haha. She obviously doesn't know what it means, she just mimics us. Almost every time she says "Mama" she says it really sweetly and quietly and when she says Dada she SCREAMS it. DAAAAAHHHH-DA! I can't wait til she actually knows what it means and calls us that :)<br />
<br />
She is trying to crawl. She does a modified version of "the worm" where she lifts all limbs off the ground and rocks... it somehow moves her forward a little bit, its pretty funny to watch. She will push herself up into the crawling position and rock a little bit, but as soon as she tries to move forward her legs go back out to the sides and she splats. We can tell it's driving her crazy! This girl wants to move!<br />
<br />
I am trying to teach her how to clap and wave. Today we went to a shower for my future sister-in-law, Janey, and Mary Tyler was the life of the party. She lifts her arm up and down really fast, but hasnt quite gotten the hang of waving her hand yet. At least she is trying! haha<br />
<br />
I have a journal called "Mom's One Line a Day" that I write in every night. It has just enough space to write a little note about each day. Here are a few recent entries:<br />
<br />
9/4: You copied Gigi and me today saying "Na na na na." You loved playing with Uncle Tyler & eating bananas and oranges for dinner. I can see outlines of your two bottom teeth!"<br />
<br />
9/8: Sweet baby, you threw up for the first time tonight, and scared us! We were nervous you'd cuaght a bug but you havent done it again. Poor baby. I could tell it burned you. When you cry like that it breaks our hearts!<br />
<br />
9/12: Today you went to the grocery store with me and rode in the cart for the first time. You want to grab EVERYTHING! You were good once I gave you a pack of crinkly wipes to play with.<br />
<br />
9/13: You had your first big fall today. Daddy didnt strap you in your bouncy seat on the couch. He went in the kitchen to get something and you tried to escape and landed on the floor. He cried longer and harder than you did!<br />
<br />
9/15: Today was your first Clemson game. I cried as I watched you watch the Tigers run down the hill. It was truly a full circle moment. I love you so much. It was fun to see you in orange!<br />
<br />
If you're a mom, I HIGHLY recommend getting one of these. It's super easy bc its just a couple of sentences and I write in it every night before I turn my lamp off and go to bed. It' a 5 year journal. I got mine at Swoozie's. :)<br />
<br />
We love you SO MUCH, Mary Tyler!!! I can't believe how quickly you're growing up. You are a blessing straight from God.<br />

Monkey is 6 MONTHS OLD!!!!! hoooooolllllllly cow! I can't believe it. We are taking her 6 month pictures with Aunt Lollie on Monday... but for now, here's whats up!<br />
<br />
At her 6 month check up today Mary Tyler..<br />
- weighed 17lbs 13 oz and is in the 80 percentile for weight<br />
- measured 27 inches long and is in the 89 percentile for height<br />
- can't remember her exact head measurement but she has a little peanut head and is in 41 percentile for head circumference<br />
<br />
Dr B says that all is totally normal and all healthy. Babies are usually the heaviest at 6 months bc they havent really started moving and burning calories yet, so they just sit around like blobs and love to eat :) Also, her head will grow, haha.<br />
<br />
Her schedule look sort of like this:<br />
<br />
8:30/9:00 - Wake Up and Eat a 6 oz Bottle<br />
10:00 - Nap<br />
11:30/12:00 - Fruit and a 4 oz bottle<br />
1:30 - Nap<br />
3:30/4 - Fruit or Veggie and a 4 oz bottle<br />
5:30 - Occasionally a cat nap<br />
6:30/7:30 - Veggie mixed with Rice Cereal and her Prevacid<br />
8:30/9:00 - Bathtime - 4 or 6 oz bottle - Bedtime<br />
<br />
I've kind of made it a point to have her schedule very loose. Matt and I never stick to a strict schedule for anything and I didn't want to have a baby who was on such a strict schedule that we couldn't put her to bed a little later if we were out to dinner or something. She is SUCH a good baby, I can't even explain how many times a week matt and I say "what did we do to deserve this?! she is so good!" She really just goes with the flow and she sleeps 11-12 hours every night.<br />
<br />
Speaking of sleep... about two weeks ago we were still swaddling MT in her miracle blanket (which she'd been swaddled in every night since she came home from the hospital). She LOVED being wrapped up at night but around 6 am she'd roll to her belly and start crying bc she couldn't get her arms out, so we decided to start leaving her arms out. She did awesome with it for about a week. It didnt affect how long she slept or anything, but the all of a sudden, three nights ago, we looked on the monitor and she was sleeping in a FACE PLANT.... i mean, FACE DOWN, buried in the mattress. I freaked out and ran in there and rolled her over and she woke up laughing at me. Sheeeeesh! So the rest of the night I couldnt sleep bc I kept watching the monitor and she KEPT doing it and I KEPT running in there to check on her. I called my doctor friend, Megan, and she assured me it was fine and giggled at how similar we are bc she went through the same paranoia with her son, Waker. ANYWAY, today at her 6 mo check Dr. B said "So? Let her sleep however the heck she wants to sleep. If she wants to sleep in a face plant, fine. She must think its confortable. Have you ever done child's pose in yoga, it feels amazing and its face down! She'll turn her head if she cant breathe." Now I'm totally at ease about it. In fact, she's been in bed for 3 hrs now and I havent checked the monitor screen once. We are SO BLESSED to have a sleeping baby. (Have you ever met me? Do you KNOW how much I love sleep? Do you UNDERSTAND how worried I was the whole time I was pregnant bc I literally cannot function without sleep??) Our God is an awesome God and truly knows me, bc my child SLEEPS and I need it. :)<br />
<br />
Moving on...<br />
<br />
She still LOVES Mickey Mouse. I got her a Minnie stuffed animal at Switcharoos and she smiles so big and acts shy every time we hold it up.<br />
<br />
Loves bath time. I even started dumping a huge cup of water right on her head (I read that's better to do than trying to avoid letting it get in their face bc then they turn into that whiney toddler in the bathtub if water gets in their eyes) Anyway, she laughs and splashes every time i dump it on her head. She is gonna be a fish, just like her daddy.<br />
<br />
She loves to hold hands and when she's holding she squeezes then releases over and over. Like she's practicing her grip. She also does that to my face, shoulder, Cooper, anything she can get a hold of, she grabs, SO HARD. We learned today that we have to start disciplining a painful pinch. Hope it works, bc OWWWW!<br />
<br />
She really likes her exersaucer and has learned to bounce really high in it. She laughs and looks at me like "Whoa Mommy! Did you see that?!" Then does it again.<br />
<br />
Just in the past two days she acts SO SHY when I take her in to see Matt after she wakes up from her morning nap. (He works from home). We usually go into his office and he says "Heyyyyy My Munks!!!!" and she smiles so big... the past few mornings we do the same thing and as soon as he says hey to her she smiles and then buries her head into my chest and wont look at him. Then she'll peek at him and hes smiling at her real big, and she'll hide again. It's like she has a crush and is embarrassed. (The same thing she does when she sees Mickey Mouse)<br />
<br />
She will NOT stay on her back. It's so hard to change her diaper or get her dressed now, bc the SECOND i put her down she flips over. She always rolls over her left shoulder so I try to hold the right one down while im changing her (its a difficult task) and she grunts and grunts til she's finally changed and I let her roll.<br />
<br />
She's learned to play peek-a-boo with me and she thinks is hilarious<br />
<br />
She's said "DA" several times but not "Da-Da" the most frequent sounds she makes are "ooooooh" and "gooooo" and "Mmmm" She babbles but not with one syllable yet (like dadadada)<br />
<br />
She can sit for anywhere from 30 sec-1 min unassisted if she's leaning slightly forward, but as soon as she tries to look behind her or lean back she falls backward. She's getting better everyday though!<br />
<br />
She's wearing size 2 and size 3 diapers. We are finishing out the size 2 packs that we have but the size 3's are really better. She also wear a Baby Dry diaper at night bc she sleeps so long, its SO FULL in the morning and the Swaddlers were NOT holding it all. The Baby Dry are much better!<br />
<br />
She loves going outside still. I just got her a swing at switcharoos and matt's gonna hang it this weekend.<br />
<br />
She isn't interested in books. I try to read them to her and she just wants to grab them and throw it or chew it. She won't look at the pictures yet.<br />
<br />
She still has bad teething days. Lots of drool and some fussiness, but today Dr. B said her teeth are no where close. Haha! Poor baby!!! It's hurting her bc they are coming up through layers of bone right now, but not near the surface yet. I only had 2 bottom teeth at my one year birthday, so she's probably on my course. :)<br />
<br />
She wears 9 mo clothes now. The 6 mo sleepers are officially too short, her toes look like they're about to bust through. She can still fit in 6 month onesies but boy, are those snaps getting snug ;)<br />
<br />
We love our baby girl SO MUCH! I will post 6 mo pictures after our shoot with Lauren next week!<br />
<br />brittneyb86http://www.blogger.com/profile/06758212346824819393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4731244359672213485.post-24513795173969610342012-07-23T23:41:00.003-04:002012-07-23T23:41:42.205-04:00Holy 5 Month Old!This is crazy. Is my child really going to be half a year old in just 3 weeks?! What in the world!<br />
<br />
She is the sweetest, silliest, stubbornest, most lovable little baby in the world.<br />
<br />
Here's the latest:<br />
<br />
Still no teeth. It HAS to be close. Drool has increased. I can't tell if pain has increased because she got an amazing Baltic Amber teething necklace (Thanks to Suzy and Yates!) and it has helped with her pain and fusiness tremendously! I can tell it still must be causing some pressure bc she is gnawing on her hands more than ever before and also loves when matt or I give her our knuckle to chomp down on. Ouch!<br />
<br />
I finally feel that she knows who we are now. She doesn't reach for us yet, but she definitely gives us a huge, gummy smile when she sees us. If a stranger is holding her, she is totally content (doesnt cry or fuss, yet) but the second one of us goes back to get her from said stranger she smiles really big and acts happy to be back with a familiar face. She's also noticing Cooper and Annie now. She will watch them walk through the room and when they stop and sit down she smiles really big. She grabbed Coopers jowls the other day, really hard, I got nervous he would wimper or get mad but he just sat there and cut his eyes at me, like, "Mom.... really? This is what I get now that she finally notices me? A big ol' pinch??" Cooper has always loved her. He follows us wherever we go in the house and has to be in the same room as her. Annie has always ignored her. She acts indifferent. Now that Mary Tyler notices Annie, Annie seems to be noticing her. She will try to cuddle with her, but is usually a little too rough. I have to constantly supervise these "cuddles" so they aren't too rough with each other.<br />
<br />
<br />
Mary Tyler is LOVING food. She mostly loves fruit, including: apples, peaches, pears, mangos, and bananas. She really likes carrots and sweet potatoes. She kind of likes squash and peas. She barely likes green beans, but we're working on it. I can't wait til I can start giving her puffs and/or cookies. She's already such a good eater. I hope she's not picky. Any advice from other moms on this food stage??<br />
<br />
She's sleeping anywhere from 8-12 hours. It was a solid 12 hours for a LONG time, and for that I am grateful. Now, she usually goes down between 8 and 9 and wakes up anywhere from 7 to 9. I will say that everytime she's up at 7, she's escaped from her swaddle. If she sleeps til 9, she is still snuggly swaddled. Therefore, I think her busting loose is whats waking her up. We've tried everything. The miracle blanket is way too small at this point but they dont make them in a bigger size. We've pinned, taped, tucked, and just about everything in between but we have a little escape artist on our hands. The Swaddle Me size large is still too big and she gets her arms up through the neck hole and pushes it down. Any suggestions on this?!?! I'm thinking of getting her this little guy.... <a href="http://woombie.com/Leggies_Style.html">http://woombie.com/Leggies_Style.html</a>. The main reason she escapes is because she holds her legs up in the air for a while and then starts kicking furiously, even in her sleep, and since the length of the blanket is actually too small, it kicks the whole freakin' thing down. So I feel like this will solve that bc even if she kicks, the arms stay swaddled (which is the main thing we need to stay secure). I would love ANY TIPS on this subject. We've tried just a sleep sack (arms free) twice and she wakes herself up within an hour and it continues.<br />
<br />
Likes:<br />
- Her jumparoo, the walker her Grams (Susie) got her, her playmat<br />
- Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Obsessed. Has a crush on Mickey.<br />
- Sometimes she'll watch Bubble Guppies, but she really loves MMC.<br />
- BATHTIME. Water. Pool. etc.<br />
- Going outside (as long as its not too hot) Whenever she gets grumpy all I have to to is walk up to the window and let her look out or walk around outside with her.<br />
- Toys... especially new ones or ones she hasnt seen in a while. She is FASCINATED with everything. Actually, it doesnt even have to be a toy. Yesterday she started/played with at a Dasani water bottle for a good 15 minutes. She's SO curios about everything right now.<br />
-Snuggling/Cuddling. I still take naps with her and she insists on burrowing up right beside me and wants to be holding my hand/finger.<br />
- Her taggies blanket that Anna made her<br />
- Baby Massage. I studied up on how to do it, and she LOVES IT!<br />
<br />
Dislikes:<br />
- Being hot. Hates it. Has a meltdown. It's bad.<br />
- Green Beans<br />
- Getting her diaper changed when she's "hyper." She doesn't like to sit still.<br />
<br />
<br />
Finally, she went to the beach for the second time. Really it was like the first bc it was too cold the first time we went. We went to Pawley's with Matt's family and Barry's family. It was SO MUCH FUN! Most days she stayed outside in a little tent for about 30 minutes and then Matt would go inside with her. It was really too hot for her to enjoy it. She can't sit up on her own yet so someone always had to be holding her, we were sandy, and she was hot. Luckily, my husband is AMAZING (and also afraid of the sun and sand) and stayed inside with her from about 11-4 everyday so Mommy got a real "vacation" and got to soak up some rays. I was looking pretty Vampire-esque before the beach trip. We had a fabulous first summer vacation as a family!! Here are some beach pictures:<br />

She's in the 88th percentile for height, 51st for weight, and 40th for head size, haha. Little peanut head.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
She is very long!!! 6 month clothes are even starting to get too short. Yikes!! This is a predicament bc they are still very baggy around the chest, so if I have to move her to 9 mo clothes they will swallow her!!! Luckily, it's summer and she's still fitting in bubbles and onesies pretty well, for now.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Eating: Still eating 6 oz. every 3 hours (give or take). She is now having a bowl of rice cereal before her bath and bedtime bottle. She doesn't really love it, but doesn't hate it. I think she'll like it much better once it's mixed with some fruits or veggies! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Sleeping: She was sleeping 9 to 9 like clockwork. A few times last week she woke up at 5:30 or 6:30. She was recovering from a virus though, and she's teething, so I think that was it. The past few days she's gotten up at 9:30 still. She takes a morning nap from 10:30 to 12:30 and I usually take it with her. (dont judge me, its the last time I'll be able to do it, once I have another baby, naps will be ancient history). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Milestones, Likes, and Dislikes:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- She is SO CLOSE to rolling over from back to stomach. She tries SO HARD. She's almost mastered the art of kicking her leg over, now its just a matter of getting that shoulder to follow! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- She started laughing. She hasn't done it much, but she knows how. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- She SCREAMS now. Not because of anger but just bc she loves the sound of her voice. She yells.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- She doesn't babble yet but she goes "Goooo, gooooo, goooooo" or "ooooh, oooooh, ooooooh." We are working on Mama and Dada :) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- She now holds Sophie (and other toys) and puts everything in her mouth.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- She found her feet the other day and was sucking on her toe.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- She escapes from the swaddle almost every night. I went to buy buy baby today and bought her large size swaddle me sack's to try to help this problem.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- She gets really hot and sweaty. Esp on her neck line like mom and me. She doesn't like being hot. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- She got a new carseat today. She's almost too long for her infant carrier, CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! She got a Britax Marathon 70. A red one. Snazzy. We got red bc my color choices were: pink w/ brown polka dots, red, and black striped. I chose red bc she hates to be hot and the sales associate reminded me that black would be a lot hotter. The pink was just, bleh. </div>

On her actual 4 month birthday she woke up with a red puffy eye. I took her across the street to see our neighbor, Julie, who is a nurse, and she told me she needed to be seen TODAY. She thought she had an eye infection. I called her Pediatrician and explained her symptoms and they sent us right over to the Emergency Room. Turned out she was fine. She just had a virus on top of bad teething. Poor Munks! Here she is at the hospital:</div>

Next thing we know, we look over and he has tears in his eyes and laughing at the same time saying "COME HERE! SHE'S LAUGHIN'! SHE'S CRACKIN' UP!" We went over there and I had missed the first, loud "cackle" laugh. She still hasnt done it since, I'm sad I missed it but happy that it's just around the corner. Matt was so proud, he's been trying to get her to laugh every night for about a week now, and he finally accomplished his goal (hence, the tears). He's a sweet Daddy :) My Munks is sweet, too!brittneyb86http://www.blogger.com/profile/06758212346824819393noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4731244359672213485.post-77803268553384811452012-06-10T01:26:00.001-04:002012-06-10T01:26:11.855-04:00First Trip to the PoolLast weekend (June 3rd) we took Mary Tyler to the pool for the first time. I was so nervous she was going to hate the cold water, but Matt assured me she'd be fine and plunked her right in and she seemed to love it. Didnt cry and didnt smile, but just looked amazed and like she was taking it all in. She is still a little too small for her float but she had fin wading around with daddy. She only stayed in for about 5-10 minutes then got sleepy and slept on her dad in the shade the rest of the time. (She's like him I guess, sun makes her sleepy). I took her back again yesterday and we sat in the baby pool. She liked it, but again, went right to sleep when we got out. Maybe it's because we always bathe her right before bed, guess water relaxes her :) Hope she's ready for the beach in 3 weeks, I know we are!!!<br />

<br />
Mary Tyler turned 3 months old on May 16th. It's so crazy how fast time goes by, but at the same time, it feels like we've had her our whole lives and cannot remember what life was like without her.<br />
<br />
EATING: It has been a crazy month as far as breastfeeding goes. I planned on doing a whole post about it, but basically, she went through a growth spurt around 10 weeks, at the same time as I went through a "supply drought" and we had to start supplementing. I took fenugreek and pumped every 3 hrs for about 10 days and still couldn't increase my supply. Right before Mothers Day I was nursing her still at night or in the morning (but only once a day) and then I got sick. As soon as my fever spiked at 102.4 it seemed that every drop of milk I had in me dried right up and I knew it was time to let it go. It was A TERRIBLY HARD decision for me to make, and I cried about it many nights, but I had to learn that Mary Tyler is a healthy, happy baby... I gave breastfeeding a valiant effort, and she did so great with it for the first 3 months of her life, I did the best I could do. With our next baby I plan on pumping a lot more at the beginning so I can go ahead and start a good stockpile of milk in the freezer. Right now, she is taking 5, 6oz bottles a day. Just recently, shes not been finishing a full 6 oz, so tomorrow I am going to try giving her 5 oz at a time.<br />
<br />
SLEEPING: We put her down anytime from 10-11:30. For a while there she was sleeping a solid 12 hours. (11 to 11, basically) now she sleeps anywhere from 10-11 hrs. usually I put her down at 10:30 and she gets up around 9:15. She is such a good sleeper!! She takes abotu a 2 hr nap from 10:30-12:30 and then a little catnap in the evening around 6. She just dozes off for about 30-45 min.<br />
<br />
Newest "tricks:" she rolled over!!! She rolled over for the first time last Monday night (May 14, two nights before her 3 mo bday) from her tummy to her back. She did it three times in a row. Now she'll do it almost anytime I put her on her tummy. She loves to do a mini-push up and arch her back real hard then she just drops her head to one side or the other and rolls right on over. She's just started holding toys and her paci. Also, Mom got her to "cackle" laugh one time. I was in the bathroom and I missed it. She's starting to squeal and smile a little more every day though, so I know that belly laugh is coming soon!<br />
<br />
Sick: As I mentioned before, I was SO SICK last week (and still am, just no fever anymore). Mary Tyler got a little bit of it and had a runny nose and red, watery eyes for a few nights. We got a Nose Frida (if you dont have one, get one) that thing is a miracle worker!! So much easier and more efficient than the little green snot sucker ball they give you at the hospital. I felt SO BAD that she got sick but she seemed to not mind at all. It hasn't affected her sleeping or eating and she's acted totally fine. So, her first time being sick hurt mommy a lot more than it hurt her.<br />
<br />
Things she loves:<br />
- Leo the Lion (toy)<br />
- Sophie Giraffe (toy)<br />
- Cuddling! She's such a sweet cuddler. Anytime she's holding a blanket or her lovey (bunny) she snuggles it up next to her face and closes her eyes.<br />
- Cooing . She talks like a monkey a lot. "Ooooh ooooh ooooh"<br />
<i><b>Hence her nicknames: Monkey, Munks, Munk, Munchkin, Munch, Chicky, Baby Girs (we mostly call her Munks right now.. it just stuck)</b></i><br />
- She's started noticing the dogs. Cooper more than Annie. He comes and stands near her and she stares so intently.<br />
- Being naked and bath time. She LOVES bath time. We got her a new tub and she's more emerged in the water than before. She absolutely loves it. I cant wait to take her to the pool this summer.<br />
- Sitting her bouncy seat and watching...<br />
- Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She has a huge crush on Mickey (just like her friend, Ella Bryce) as soon as he comes on the tv she smiles SO Big and acts shy. It's really cute. She also seems to really like Daisy.<br />
- She likes watching Baby Einstein "Barnyard" on mom's iPad.<br />
- Going outside. Whenever I walk her around outside she silently stares at everything. She loves it.<br />
- Her Paci (Gumdrops only, she gags on Nuks and Mams)<br />
- Her changing table. She kicks and gets "hyper" and coos and plays. She loves getting her diaper changed, now. I think because it involves her being naked.<br />
<br />
Dislikes:<br />
- Being hungry. Especially in the morning when Matt's making her bottle. She screams at him... "Hurry Up, Dad!!"<br />
- Starting to notice her fussy when she's got a wet diaper now<br />
- Getting bored. She'll have so much fun in one spot for a while (playing on her rainforest mat, watching Mickey in her bouncy seat) but the second she's over it, SHES OVER IT! She wants to get it up and GO! like her Daddy, she is not content to just lay there and relax like her mom :)<br />
- Her rock 'n play sleeper. We used it too much. We put her in there ALL the time. While we make bottles, while we eat dinner, etc. She's learned that whenever we put her there, she's not involved in what's going on and she gets pissed. Wants to be center of attention already :) She used to love that thing.<br />
- getting HOT! She's just like me on this one. The back of her neck gets sweaty first (like me and my mom) and then she gets super fussy and annoyed. Gotta keep her cool!<br />
<br />
We love our little Munks SO MUCH! I will post more this month, I promise. I need to put some videos and pics up asap :)<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here are her stats from her 2 month check-up: </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Weight: 11 lb 7 oz (55th percentile)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Height: 23 in. (84 percentile..she's the height of an average 4 month old)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I cant find the measurement of her head right now but it's in the 71st percentile</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Mary Tyler,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You love your paci. Last night Daddy put it in your hand and you held on to it for a while! Dr. Butcher says that within the next few weeks you will be able to pass objects from one hand to the other! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We started letting you watch "God of Wonders" videos the other day. (They are like Baby Einstein's but christian based) and you LOVE them! You just stare with amazement. I think you like all the colors moving, esp the black and white. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You coo a lot now. and some times let out little squeals. When you get hungry you sound like a monkey "oooh oooh ooh"and when you cry you sound like you're saying "nay! nay! nay!" over and over (but you hardly ever cry). Dr. Butcher says you will be laughing sometime in the next month. I think you're close bc you giggle and smile in your sleep sometimes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You've gotten a lot better at holding your head up. Daddy took you to Costco (by himself) last week and carried you in in your Baby Bjorn. You loved facing outwards and looking at everything but after about 15 min you got a little fussy. We think you got tired of holding that head up. We put you in your bumbo every once in a while and you hold your head up like a big girl! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You still LOVE your rainforest play mat. You will lay on it and just kick and kick and smile and stare at the lights. You are slowly learning that if you flap your arms hard enough, you may hit the elephant and make it rattle. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You love your bath and would stay in it all night. You also seem to love when i wrap you up real cozy in your towel right after your bath, and get you all warm. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You are still breast feeding and eating about every 3 hours during the day (sometimes 2 sometimes 4). You've been eating from just one side and finish within about 7-10 minutes! (a very efficient eater) You had been consistently sleeping 7 hours every night (from 11:45 to 6:45) ... now you are going even longer!!! Last night you slept from 11:30 to 9:00 am. It was so great!! You are such a good sleeper. You take naps throughout the day but they aren't really on a schedule yet. At night we still swaddle you and turn on your sound machine to max volume. (ocean sound)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I take you everywhere with me. You've become quite the little traveler. When Lauren and me took you to the beach last week you did amazing for the 5 hour drive. We stopped once to feed and change you then you went right back in your car seat and either slept or stared out the window. You really seem to like the car and like to travel unless you are fighting sleep. </div>
<br />
We love you so much, monkey! We can't imagine our lives without you and really have forgotten what it was like before you were here. Daddy and I looked at each other a few nights ago and said "What did we used to do??" :) You are the best thing your dad and I have ever done. We cant wait to see what tomorrow brings!<br />
<br />

I fed you at 11:45 and then put you to bed. I didnt have to feed you again until 8:30 the next morning! I did wake up at 6:45 <span style="font-size: 100%; ">to you squirming and grunting but you weren't fully awake yet. I just repositioned you in your pack n play and you slept til 8:15. What a good girl!! Then you went back to sleep until about 10am. When I took you to your nursery to get you dressed for the day you REALLY smiled right at me. For the past few weeks you smile a little bit but it's always looked like you're looking right above my head, not in my eyes. That morning you smiled right at me like HEY MOMMY! You are so sweet! </span></div><div><span style="font-size: 100%; "><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 100%; ">Then last night, April 1st, we got your nursery all set up and let you sleep in your crib for the first time. I was a mess. I didnt get much sleep bc I kept waking up to look at the monitor and make sure you were ok. Of course, you were perfect. I got up around 4 and repositioned you (you'd slid down off the boppy we're letting you sleep on to help w your reflux) then at 5:30 I went back in and fed you and put you back down. Your sound machine also has a projector that shows a little moon and stars on your ceiling... I turned that on and you stared at it until about 6:45 (i watched on the monitor...thinking you were going to start crying again any minute bc you were wide awake and in a different room) but you just watched it until you finally fell asleep and then slept until about 9:15.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 100%; "><span style="font-size: 100%; "><br />Some other small things: You love your bouncy seat and mamaroo. You've started sitting in your bumbo but not too much. you still have a "floppy head" so you get tired of it easily. You LOVE your rainforest play mat. Daddy lays on the floor with you and you watch the lights and kick and play! I have taken a bunch of videos of yall and facebook loves them. Eventually ill upload them to my youtube account so we have record of them for years to come.</span></span></div><div><br /></div><div>We love you so much and cant believe how quickly time is passing. </div><div><br /></div><div>Here is the picture of you last night in your crib for the first time.</div><div><br /></div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhie7lW8dKsyCYvKW1e9-d3mRZf-9O_Zs_g2IGEDUvnENAPMQacrhw5Ishsxmjb9A2A16UgzaVfN_XMj84ledDA7iCkjDItIk0Cj5PBjhcaHKFbpKk6xjZJgdtfFEgN1ubdSfjsOqzi_iE/s320/mtsleeps.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5726921255123272002" style="float: left; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 320px; " /><div><br /><div><br /></div></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>brittneyb86http://www.blogger.com/profile/06758212346824819393noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4731244359672213485.post-75173410611281904002012-03-30T18:10:00.001-04:002012-03-30T18:10:56.312-04:00im back!!!!im moving my blogging back to the homeland! While he was gone, my lovely friends came over one night, we ordered pizza, and had a nursery painting party!! We didn't finish it all, but made a lot of progress so that Matt wouldn't have TONS to do to finish it when he got back. He's actually in there right now finishing up the "cutting in" and the corners. I love the color and I can't wait to get baby girl all set up in there!!! We are hoping to get hardwood floors and crown molding installed after Christmas, but for the time being we are going to set everything up in there as if its permanent. This is the room I chose for her nursery inspiration..</div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiviLB6h6Yg4SwnLkW7AiosrUDGEE4CdBFHvHXxvmo42SD_RD4fpDIMVxCF3VI2_6rAxMWJpl4SSjH7MHsMSACorDInO_eUwXtLun1TZDipalmcxiH2XpV5_VZDcNubYg9J7xJSBOGrgCY/s320/innocence_crib_hrw_1_1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5658984587323959298" /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>I can't wait to see how it turns out at the end! :) </div><div><br /></div><div>Next, I am SO happy the fall weather is here!!!!! I feel like I'm finally back in a routine of some sorts. Today was the first day since, maybe April (??? yikes!) that I have sat down and made out a "menu" for the week, then gone to the grocery store and picked up all my</div><br /><br /><div> ingredients. A few things on this weeks menu: Crockpot Creamy Chicken and Stuffing, Bowtie Alfredo with Chicken and Broccoli, Homemade Chicken and Wild Rice Soup with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, Lasagna and Garlic Bread. Yum. I'm so happy I'm able to eat again!!!! So is baby girl :) We've gained 5 lbs now!! </div><div><br /></div><div>Cheerleading is going pretty well! Last week we had our first competition and we won!! Yesterday we had our 2nd competition and we got 5th out of 5. It's hard in competitive cheer because each set of judges have the same score sheets every week but maybe have totally different judging styles. We have a lot to work on before the next competition, but boy have they come a long way since last year!! :) Here's what they did the first week.... (the video is crooked at first but it'll straighten out! also the music is off with the action at the end of the film but you get the picture)...</div><div><br /></div><div><object width="224" height="400"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true"><param name="movie" value="http://www.facebook.com/v/10100147070691078"><embed src="http://www.facebook.com/v/10100147070691078" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="224" height="400"></embed></object></div><div><br /><div><br /><div><br /></div><div>As you can tell, Matt is becoming a "cheer dad" already. Yes, that's him at the beginning of the video, ARGUING with a woman who kept telling him to sit down. Haha. Gotta love him!! </div><div><br /></div><div>Finally, Clemson is GOOD y'all!!!!!!! I haven't been this excited about Clemson Football in a long time. It kind of stinks that this is the first year we've been awesome and is also the first year that I am not able to go to every home game bc of cheer competitions, but still, i am thrilled!!! I told Matt if we go to the Orange Bowl, or heck, possibly the National Championship, I don't care how large and in charge this mama is, IM GOIN! SO SO Proud of my tigers!!!!! </div><div><br /></div><div><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9OjzUWpxajSeIRWFjxcSt5AFuA1hOIolLtcEyFYKcOqmonPwCb8XNzvxSOuF1f2ENSx3RZIRM5HgVfnXwxn_xdrIaoam2wvoLL5r4_6VzQHZg8hqYzdrsbgCbz5u8e9h65HjoXh6m-4U/s320/College+Football+Betting+Preview+Number+25+Clemson+Tigers.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5658988042468935794" style="float: left; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: 0px; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 320px; " /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>I can't wait to go the the mtns. in two weekends to celebrate our 4 year anniversary and come home with some pumpkins and mums for the front porch!! so i decided to quit getting aggravated at all you slacking bloggers and do something about my own slacking blog. finally... here's New York trip.<br /><br />Wednesday night Jordan and I headed off to Charlotte.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj112oUXKIaSCFj6K2y-7yT2-f-AwtJTp7CcGh1yzjrxSJ0jtmg1ak8O4-7TZS9uc2PxOsV5vVuYAXmRMLTgvNewx_TRswD5nGAWWiqAcGBNqrD5b49aU_3sKqpQRrHdrChxm5kaoagnLo/s1600/-1.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 221px; height: 166px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj112oUXKIaSCFj6K2y-7yT2-f-AwtJTp7CcGh1yzjrxSJ0jtmg1ak8O4-7TZS9uc2PxOsV5vVuYAXmRMLTgvNewx_TRswD5nGAWWiqAcGBNqrD5b49aU_3sKqpQRrHdrChxm5kaoagnLo/s320/-1.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615608239067265378" border="0" /></a><br />We went to The Cowfish (an AMAZING restaurant in Charlotte, you have to check it out next time you're there!) with Ash and Katie and had a great dinner and great conversation. We made it back to Ashley and Matt's house, watched Modern Family, and headed to bed since we had to be up at 4:30 am the next morning.<br /><br /><br /><br />THURSDAY:<br />We woke up at 4:30... and shimmied out the door around 5:00 am. Made it to the check in at the US Air desk around 5:35 am. They told us we were 6 minutes too late to check baggage on the flight (which was supposed to board at 6:15) and that we were gonna have to wait for the 8am flight. BOO!!!!!! we were SO TIRED!! But we trekked over to our gate and painted our nails while we waited on the restaurants to open. We were starving by the time 7:00 am rolled around. We hustled over to the Sbarro where jordan had pizza for breakfast and I got nasty biscuits and gravy...from an airport sbarro (which is ITALIAN) at 7am. Desperate much?? We boarded and were on our way to NYC!<br /><br />We landed in Laguardia around 10am and made it to a cab. Destination W79th and New York Avenue. (aka: Upper East Side) The blocks around where we were staying is actually the third richest neighborhood in the US. There were Range Rovers EVERYWHERE!!!! Nannys pushing more strollers than we'd seen in our lives and cute moms with yoga mats. it was beautiful weather... but everyone was wearing black?? Jordan and I were stuck out on a street corner waiting on Brantley to get there with the keys... picture this: .. two blonde girls (in a brunette town) with GIANT suitcases...vera bradley bags... a pillow...and i HAD to be wearing a bright yellow rain jacked on that morning and both wearing rainbows. I dont think New Yorkers know what Rainbows are. We stuck out like two sore thumbs! Then Brantley met us and we got to where we were staying.... w B's friend Jonathan... thank goodness he's so hospitable!! We walk into his building and come to find that it's actually being turned into a Synagogue and everyone has been evicted... except Jonathan and the super. We walk up a teeny tiny curving staircase to the 5th floor (EXHAUSTING with all that luggage, thanks brantley for the help) into a tiny tiny apartment. This is where we stayed... i sent this to my mom:<br /><br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dx6fuibtz_MWcWtrHHJN-SQJ80aN_apdSv-f7KT4jT0H-l84tWqPfx9OtXo1GpgM3e_0A4vHj3IeqYgl2D0oQ' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe><br /><br />We didn't skip a beat and headed out to the street to catch a cab with Brant. We went straight to NBC Studios at Rockafellar Center to try to get Jimmy Fallon tickets... We ended up with this:<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDkpXDCV5U_YSYI6ZtorSI8Nh_Ik0gBzsDEXghnlWN_4faNArEVB6pWvi6q9xlRvyE_Lvbn7t0UHA3l4ahriMAqvRUBGOJZLkkf9fNaaiIDWvku8JzJARosSB0HKfzKcDgPq782k9U2uY/s1600/jimmy.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDkpXDCV5U_YSYI6ZtorSI8Nh_Ik0gBzsDEXghnlWN_4faNArEVB6pWvi6q9xlRvyE_Lvbn7t0UHA3l4ahriMAqvRUBGOJZLkkf9fNaaiIDWvku8JzJARosSB0HKfzKcDgPq782k9U2uY/s320/jimmy.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615613307853668834" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />A Standby ticket. They said to come back at 3:30 pm and see if we were going to make it to taping that day. By this time we were staving and Brantley thought it would be nice to take us on a walking tour of NYC on our way to lunch. we walked a very long...long...long way. about 3 miles!!!!! To the Upper West Side where we had lunch at a lovely little sidewalk cafe of a pub. We were SO TIRED... besides getting up at 4:30 am that morning...and walking 3 miles...and only eating a nasty sbarro breakfast that morning....and sweating our butts off...and our feet bleeding with blisters... we were having fun!! Just glad to finally be there. We let Brantley know we weren't avid walkers and we were gonna need to take cabs/trains/buses from now on! here we are at lunch:<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFLaAeRYPo5Xeh5HV-cNdJUKTkxVgMRst9SA-HTnZnkdPuAcyJZ0DHIRHDwOWhNtyDtRZUzfVvGQQ0_-UdVd1kdYWlMLacTvd_t6WYwuFE0qhvrlUA1XDxop_KmVjrUxMMKoaT2RBSzJo/s1600/-2.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 221px; height: 166px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFLaAeRYPo5Xeh5HV-cNdJUKTkxVgMRst9SA-HTnZnkdPuAcyJZ0DHIRHDwOWhNtyDtRZUzfVvGQQ0_-UdVd1kdYWlMLacTvd_t6WYwuFE0qhvrlUA1XDxop_KmVjrUxMMKoaT2RBSzJo/s320/-2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615612584080202706" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Then we parted way with Brantley (he had to get to acting class) and were on our own in the big city. We headed to Times Square and shopped for a hot minute in Forever 21, then it was time to get back to 30 Rock to see if we were gonna get to see Late Night. We walked around for what seemed like an eternity. Finally we were in line and they let us know that numbers 1-60 were getting in!! We were numbers 67 and 68! Are you kidding me?! Dang it!!! I love Jimmy Fallon!! I watch every night. Oh well, let's go take a nap before heading back out tonight! We went out to the street to get a cab and NO ONE would pick us up. It was about 5:00 (rush hour) and everyone was off duty!!! Ughhh.. At this point we were nearly in tears and Jordan was telling me here shins were breaking in half. We got one of those little bike taxis to take us as far as he could... which ended up being Madison Ave... which is the financial district. Jordan and I are sweating and crying (basically) and are sticking out like sore thumbs (AGAIN) in the midst of all the Armani Suit wearing business men on Madison Ave. FINALLY we found a cab to take us back home.... I called Mom, had a mental breakdown, then tried to get some sleep. We woke up... got ready..and met meredith in Times Square:<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjadyeU0K9ThgZq5CV0QmRXQ5XNFIpqz2TQSZsz7i2EbtM3XG3-Aip7ziDgNxSJP_oybmVaPJXB8Luo8-oOM0rBF1wz8Rc2slQwuUPGzt6stJu9SXmUp6W0NYgV-kowQ_OemOOSNgFCeyU/s1600/DSC00322.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjadyeU0K9ThgZq5CV0QmRXQ5XNFIpqz2TQSZsz7i2EbtM3XG3-Aip7ziDgNxSJP_oybmVaPJXB8Luo8-oOM0rBF1wz8Rc2slQwuUPGzt6stJu9SXmUp6W0NYgV-kowQ_OemOOSNgFCeyU/s320/DSC00322.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615615761983906946" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />We walked to a place called Rudy's in Hell's Kitchen which was offering free hot dogs and $6 beer pitchers! Perfect! It was also amazing bc Justin Timberlake's restaurant was RIGHT ACROSS the street and I really wanted to see him.. I mean, IT. Here are Mim and Jordan at Rudy's w hot dogs and beer:<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJl7M8Rpt50Gr8zvoxZ6KnmJ71fzNu4aFH1Prf7snU19qImwwkePzTN2m2sFnObG7YGOBQl6rFCFGbHgNqGqZjRuUjcxE0eOzeTu9hyP7HszEnqdDwuy9k1sAPssWTpCwmueUUKex2Boc/s1600/DSC00336.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 314px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJl7M8Rpt50Gr8zvoxZ6KnmJ71fzNu4aFH1Prf7snU19qImwwkePzTN2m2sFnObG7YGOBQl6rFCFGbHgNqGqZjRuUjcxE0eOzeTu9hyP7HszEnqdDwuy9k1sAPssWTpCwmueUUKex2Boc/s320/DSC00336.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615616262796286802" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />We got a cab home around 1am and went straight to sleep!<br /><br />FRIDAY:<br /><br />We slept LATE, as you can imagine. We were zonked. It was raining so we put on bummy clothes and caught the bus to the Mueseum of Natural History where our friends, Brantley and Jonathan were. We found things super cool things like a giant oyster and a replica of a blue whale:<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGLklk8RMKGg2zEaj2Dc6bYcW9A-3jh9zmCOsbOeFsiXVTIavkYw8MfGvBZ342gM9r-XWVcl9sHLLuF2ejOtBB0UXIM-_LQbwBRDGtBh1iYMj5lkAgtBk8jQjh4noDSFpSScvSgvNYxn4/s1600/DSC00337.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGLklk8RMKGg2zEaj2Dc6bYcW9A-3jh9zmCOsbOeFsiXVTIavkYw8MfGvBZ342gM9r-XWVcl9sHLLuF2ejOtBB0UXIM-_LQbwBRDGtBh1iYMj5lkAgtBk8jQjh4noDSFpSScvSgvNYxn4/s320/DSC00337.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615617053061499426" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiONW2QfkqRlrBEkMLYfopmsISsgBo3me9XchJxoRQqvNc160aNQQh82InKvOc6G59T1oo53pW_XwG-e479AdmdyyGqG3qQK7pAOetC35B635MmucR55b5HkM7F722_luIvwfFWz1zsMy0/s1600/DSC00346.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiONW2QfkqRlrBEkMLYfopmsISsgBo3me9XchJxoRQqvNc160aNQQh82InKvOc6G59T1oo53pW_XwG-e479AdmdyyGqG3qQK7pAOetC35B635MmucR55b5HkM7F722_luIvwfFWz1zsMy0/s320/DSC00346.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615617186531143522" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Then we went to a place called Shake Shack in Hell's Kitchen which was like NYC's version of Fuddruckers then we shopped til we dropped. Urban Outfitters, a few weird shoe stores, Trader Joe's, American Apparel, the Apple Store, Zara, etc. Then we went a really cool movie theater in Times Square to see Bridesmaids which was HYSTERICAL. After the movie we headed down to Lower Eastside to meet Mim and her boyfriend, Enri at a quaint little Italian restaurant. We had to walk down St. Mark's street which is like the College Avenue of Clemson, in NY. Its where all the coked out NYU students are and there is just bar after bar after bar.... pencil thin college girls in solid black.. ripped panty hose, sky high heels, painted on skirts, long black hair, everywhere. And here come Jordan and I... in our jeans and old navy t-shirts with tennis shoes. YIKES!!!! We were so embarassed. But it was worth it when we finally made it to Mim. We ordered dinner (at midnight) and I swear the restaurant was as crowded as the Ale House in Greenville at 7pm on a Friday. Had the BEST PASTA i've EVER had!!! At only $9 for a giant bowl of it, it can't be beat!!!! We got Pasta Carbonara, omg. my mouth is watering as i type. We sat in once of the window seats... it was a restaurant like you'd see only in the movies. amazing. if you're ever in the east village you MUST go there!!!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguZNEce1uCl0QkFYrLFagLGrnE4CJpZn5JPj3o3WaKIFUmJtci8RLwmOmT8Zi2MOywQlLfwSAzDtZM_r2t5GXOxhPlKEvZVweeAPCyoSxRdTUeab1e7lGfiTlIQKGRvP9Yjr-W6e1dNRk/s1600/60208111040250385_detail__detail_viadel.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 220px; height: 165px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEguZNEce1uCl0QkFYrLFagLGrnE4CJpZn5JPj3o3WaKIFUmJtci8RLwmOmT8Zi2MOywQlLfwSAzDtZM_r2t5GXOxhPlKEvZVweeAPCyoSxRdTUeab1e7lGfiTlIQKGRvP9Yjr-W6e1dNRk/s320/60208111040250385_detail__detail_viadel.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615619983805352210" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4Dg0nSReuey8xUco8vkPVJ8TDxOhHH7wLyBsL_qU17MMUUdaUtL1l9J0dsZ8iTuBNe2gxI_Pc_ef0EgbbMgOiuoQmGpd8Z-7uWv14Ju1-l8tStvxTpUqgS7rsPG4jqRg0Vqd2WJcQXbM/s1600/SpA6cppnCOYT4i-640m.jpg"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4Dg0nSReuey8xUco8vkPVJ8TDxOhHH7wLyBsL_qU17MMUUdaUtL1l9J0dsZ8iTuBNe2gxI_Pc_ef0EgbbMgOiuoQmGpd8Z-7uWv14Ju1-l8tStvxTpUqgS7rsPG4jqRg0Vqd2WJcQXbM/s320/SpA6cppnCOYT4i-640m.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615620280073342978" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />We caught a cab home around 1:30 and went straight to sleep!<br /><br />SATURDAY:<br />We woke up and got ready and headed off to the Staten Island Ferry to ride by the Statue of Liberty. It took us a while to find exactly where we were supposed to be going. We also made a pit stop at a nearby drug store and picked up some materials to make a poster for Callie's class in Australia! The Statue of Liberty to them, is like the Sydney Opera House to us. a landmark they know the US by. We headed back out and went to Brantley's friend's improv show where we met up with my friends Hoyt and Meredith from Clemson. After the show we went to a little pub and had drinks with even more friends :) Then we went down the street and ate at Brother Jimmy's a southern type place in NYC ... with the best mac n cheese ever!! I also rekindled my love for Natty Light.. I usually dink a Blue Moon or a Shock Top so I forgot how light Natty tastes :) Heres a clan of my Clemson friends that all live in NYC now:<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_hIuRVZ-fkqPf6NXmVSF3qS47_RUzme74zpR3829CPJVT_93jUJ9y5OtbMgCMS6bZ8pKc_eD0lgzqB2yegwUhJkkpyOmuuoYi96jfj4R0Fbd8rdS55ldaZ2RlnigIgUG0rlvQY-5im4Q/s1600/DSC00366.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_hIuRVZ-fkqPf6NXmVSF3qS47_RUzme74zpR3829CPJVT_93jUJ9y5OtbMgCMS6bZ8pKc_eD0lgzqB2yegwUhJkkpyOmuuoYi96jfj4R0Fbd8rdS55ldaZ2RlnigIgUG0rlvQY-5im4Q/s320/DSC00366.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615656317456770434" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Also, I literally bumped into Hoyt on a street corner walking to the train one day!! CRAZY! Hoyt was one of my best guy friends in college.. I haven't seen him in 2 years, at least! He ended up hanging out with us the rest of the weekend!! Good times :) Later after Brother Jimmys we all bar hopped around and ended up at a place in the East Village called The Dark Room:<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBu8GRTMADQn8uFXmFENXFMmBXKiUmeumW-et25qEzbZMSIg-H5aIBbML6u__dAmZKnyqDfpMVzjubRpISG5Eu-nwh24l_8PtDVRsQOxlTOQXmrtRBipv7OHzBxftP9G1gnmLirCMho9I/s1600/DSC00372.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 262px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBu8GRTMADQn8uFXmFENXFMmBXKiUmeumW-et25qEzbZMSIg-H5aIBbML6u__dAmZKnyqDfpMVzjubRpISG5Eu-nwh24l_8PtDVRsQOxlTOQXmrtRBipv7OHzBxftP9G1gnmLirCMho9I/s320/DSC00372.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5615659722622065522" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />We made our way home around 2 am, got some quesadillas from the deli next to our apt then headed inside and went to bed.<br /><br />SUNDAY:<br />We packed everything up and had it waiting at the door then headed down to Union Square to do some last minute shopping and grab brunch with our friends.
